ImprovBoston: Help Keep The Laughter Going
Dear Members of the ImprovBoston Community,
For over 26 years, ImprovBoston has been creating innovative comedy programs that range from the messy and extreme Gorefest to modern interpretations of Aeschylus.
We are a community of artists and entertainers, dedicated to pushing the boundaries and taking risks. And throughout the years, those risks have paid off with some of the Northeast's most exhilarating comedy programming and some of the nation's most recognizable stars of film, tv, and theater.
Today, like most nonprofits in the country, ImprovBoston is facing significant challenges inherent to a recession. We are attempting to stay true to our community and mission of low prices for high-quality shows, classes, and youth programs; however, we need your help.
In the current environment, our theater can no longer rely solely on ticket sales and class registrations to support all of our work. We need our community to get involved.
We know that in these troubling times, many worthy nonprofits are requesting your help. We also know that many of you are facing challenges yourselves. As you make your decisions on which nonprofits to support, I hope you'll remember the many times that ImprovBoston made you laugh, think, and feel like part of something special. I hope you'll remember that art is not a luxury but an enduring and necessary expression of our values and insight.
